GGG V Canelo Alverez
This truly is the best v the best, both fighters are in most people’s top 5 pound for pound lists.
GGG has ruled the 160lb division since cotto beat a crippled Sergio Martinez a few years back.
Canelo has won titles and 147, 154 and beat cotto and 160lbs
Most people a year ago would have had GGG a stone cold favourite, but tighter victories over our won kel brook and especially Danny Jacobs have narrowed the odds.
Personally I still make GGG, I slight favourite as I’ve never seen punching power like that before, his knockout highlight reel is something else.
Now that mzyweather v McGregor is out the way, we can look forward to this.
Who have you got to win and why?

Re: GGG V Canelo Alverez
I had Golovkin 115-113 but I scored the last round 10:10 and if Alvarez shaded that then I would have had it a draw.

5 of the 12 rounds were extremely close so it could go either way and I don't have huge complaints with the results. I saw it differently but I can understand the judges seeing it the other way. I had Golovkin 5-2 down after the first 7 rounds.

Golovkin has gotten old in the last year. His slow start to the fight cost him badly when he allowed Alvarez to push him backwards - the exact opposite to the first fight. He is definitely well past his peak and if there is a third I see it as being even more comfortable for Alvarez. Time has caught up with GGG.

Good fight though.

I wanted GGG but thought Alvarez just about nicked it. He was sharper from the off and controlled the centre of the ring. Absolutely superb fight though and could have gone either way. I think the age gap won out and hope there's not a 3rd fight.

Bit much to be gobsmacked about the result.

I had GGG a winner by a round, but there were 4 or 5 rounds that were really really close to call.

He’s beat Canelo twice now, yet only 1 judge from 6 has scored it his way...

Crooked as fuck...

I can’t see how GGG lost that fight. That’s twice he has beaten Canelo without getting the decision.

Great fight though. Both fighters have heads made of granite.

Re: GGG V Canelo Alverez
what's the point fighting him again? the money cunts/gangsters won't let anyone beat him. you have to knock him out or you have no chance. no surprise the millwall coward haye saw it differently. i was watching the bookie prices right up to the end and golovkin was 1/5 at the end, so how the fuck can they rob him again?

Every round was pretty even and most could have been called either way I reckon.

Harsh on either one to lose.

Re: GGG V Canelo Alverez
as i said, bent as fuck. the sport can't get any more corrupt than robbing the same fighter twice in consecutive fights. scandalous cunts judging fights who should be in prison

Re: GGG V Canelo Alverez
what a brilliant pro golovkin's been, still dedicated as ever at 36. not sure how well he'd have done back in the 80s but still a legend of the sport

Re: GGG V Canelo Alverez
golovkin outscoring him for me, I hope he pushes forward as alvarez is blowing hard. he should walk forward more as the judges won't give him anything

Re: GGG V Canelo Alverez
ginger bollocks starting much better this time, golovkin needs to step it up as I'm not sure they'll let him win on pts
